To create a Project in Domino, you can start from scratch or start from an existing Project.
To create your Project from scratch:
-
Go to Lab > Projects > New Projects
You will need to choose between a Domino File System (DFS) or a Git-based project. See Project organization to learn about the difference between these Project types.
Before you create your own Project, it’s worthwhile to search for existing content in your organization that you can use to bootstrap your Project. Domino Projects created by others can help you accomplish your analytical goals.
-
Search your Domino deployment to discover Domino projects.
-
On your Projects home page, explore the various tabs to see Projects that you are assigned as a collaborator, as well as other Projects recommended by Domino.
-
Domino Reference Projects can be accessed via Domino’s GitHub page or your admin can install these as Projects directly in your Domino instance.
If you already have an existing Project you want to start with, you can Copy the Project or Fork the Projects.
Forking the Project creates a new Project and includes everything from the source Project. Copying the Project also creates a duplicate of the Project, but it does not include Project settings, run history, or scheduled Jobs.
If your Project is already in progress, you can still import and export content without starting from scratch. See Import Git repositories and Export and import Project content to learn about the ways Project assets can be imported.
