This topic describes the architecture for a Domino deployment on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). AKS is hosted on Azure. When you deploy Domino to AKS, you must have the following services and components:
-
A: AKS cluster deployed in three Availability Zones (AZ), version 1.21, with an Analytics workspace for control plane logging.
-
B: Platform nodes: Node pool (4-6) Standard_D8s_v4, 128GB root disk.
-
C: Compute nodes: Node pool (variable size) Standard_D8s_v4, variable root disk.
-
D: GPU compute nodes: Node pool (variable size) Standard_NC6s_v3, variable root disk.
-
E: Shared file system and datasets: Azure Storage Account.
-
F: Backups: Azure Storage Account.
-
G: Environment and model image: Azure Container Registry.
-
H: Ingress load balancer: Standard SKU (Azure Load Balancer).
-
I: Cluster network: Azure Virtual Network with a subnet with 65536 IP addresses (/16 subnet mask).
