Google Cloud Deployments

These topics describe how to install Domino on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). GKE is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). When deploying Domino to Google Cloud, you must have the following GCP services and components:

A map of the Google Cloud architecture you’ll need to set up a Domino deployment
  • A: Runtime platform: GKE cluster (deployed in 3 zones), that matches our compatible Kubernetes versions.

Node/instances: Node pools
  • B: Platform nodes: Node pool (3–3) n1-standard-8, 128Gb root disk.

  • C: Compute nodes: Node pool (1–20) n1-standard-8, 400Gb root disk.

  • D: GPU compute nodes: Node pool (0–5) (Optional) n1-standard-8, 400Gb root disk.

Storage
  • E: Shared filesystem and datasets: Google Cloud storage.

  • F: Backups: Google Cloud storage.

  • G: Environment and model images: Google container registry.

Networking
  • H: Ingress load balancer: External HTTPS load balancing.

  • I: Cluster network: Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network.
