Flexible Git Reference Support for Apps

Teams can now deploy apps from a specific Git reference (branch, tag, or commit SHA). The reference must contain an app.sh file to be successful.

In-Product Guides & Alerting

A new functionality is now available to enable in-product guides, alerting, and more. This functionality aims to improve adoption and enablement of the Domino Platform.

2025 February

Updates to Domino Governance

  • Governance Findings: Create, track, and manage compliance gaps and potential risks within a governed bundle with Governance Findings.

  • Metrics Checks: Automatically attach metrics to a governed bundle, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Configurable Idle Timeout

Users will now be logged out of Domino after a customizable period of inactivity. Users will receive a pop-up letting them know they will be logged out, and they will have the option of dismissing the pop-up to stay logged in. This setting will be turned off by default. Please reach out to Domino Support if you’d like to configure an inactivity period for your deployment.

Project Templates Support for "Other" Git Providers

Git-based projects from "other" providers (including Azure DevOps) can now be used as project templates or copied into other projects. To copy a template repository, users must provide an uninitialized destination repository from the same provider.

Cloud Admin Global Role Improvements

Extended the permission set of the Cloud Admin global role to be able to create and manage Service Accounts.

2025 January

CSV Download for Audit Trail

Domino’s new Download as CSV feature allows CloudAdmin and GovernanceAdmin users to export Audit Trail data directly from the interface. This functionality helps support both internal and external compliance requirements.

When the Download CSV button is clicked, the generated CSV files will reflect the filters and table columns selected.

2024 December

Domino’s new Unified Audit Trail tracks user interactions and system events, allowing organizations to monitor data creation, viewing, and permission changes for better transparency and accountability.

Audit trails capture broader compliance events, such as changes to the following:

  • Datasets

  • Project configurations

  • User roles

  • Data access

Deploy Models to Sagemaker

Domino provides seamless model deployment to SageMaker. Leverage Domino’s flexible development experience to build your models before deploying them to production on SageMaker, while still maintaining centralized governance and tracking of all of your models. Administrators apply guardrails around cost, performance, and security, and the platform picks the resources needed to meet them.

2024 October

New Domino User Interface

Domino Data Lab introduces a new UI to improve your core workflows. It has un updated look and feel, with new navigation patterns and a dashboard experience to quickly get you into recent work. For more detail, see the New UI migration guide.

NetApp integration

Domino adds support for NetApp FSxN for Domino Cloud.

Domino Governance

Domino Governance simplifies, organizes, and automates the process of gathering, tracking, and reviewing all assets to help enforce internal or external policies. It provides a single interface closely connected and integrated within a data scientist’s environment, ensuring smooth governance, version control, and compliance for all stakeholders involved.

Datasets in Nexus

Domino Datasets can now be created in remote data planes.

Project templates

Create Project templates to kickstart future projects instead of starting from scratch. Project templates enable collaboration, efficiency, and standardization with your team, organization, and company.

App secure identity propagation

App secure identity propagation allows apps to identify a Domino user making a request in order to provide differentiated services to users. Existing apps that host additional assets or secondary pages should adapt their root path as described in the App security section when secure identity propagation is turned on. Running applications will not be affected and will not need changes until they are restarted.

Upgrade Notes

  • The new Data Plane version has advanced to a major release (now 4.1.1-3). As a result, the upgrade button will not function due to the version gap. To complete the upgrade successfully, a manual process is required. For details, refer to the upgrade the Data Plane section.
